Upcoming Olympiads School Seminar Series: Peer Effect

Olympiads School will host a series of seminars toward the end of this semester. All of the Peer Effect seminars will be hosted by students. In the seminars, these accomplished individuals will share their valuable experiences with the audience. This seminar series include 6 topics. Through their presentations, we hope to bring more encouragement and confidence to every attended student.

 

The 6 topics of the seminars are as follows:

  1. How to succeed in high school Chemistry and prepare for chemistry contests

Speaker: Jeff An (UTS student, has been invited to participate in the International

Chemistry Olympiad)

Date and time: Saturday, June 20. 12:30pm – 2:00pm

 

  1. How to apply for Canadian University

Speaker: David Lu (TOPs grade 12 student, has been accepted into the University of Waterloo, Software Engineering major)

Date and time:  Saturday, June 20. 2:30pm – 4:30pm

 

  1. How to apply for the TOPs Program

Speaker: David Lu (TOPs grade 12 student, has been accepted into the University of Waterloo, Software Engineering major)

Cindy Zeng (Grade 11 TOPs student)

Date and time: Saturday, June 20. 4:45pm – 6:45pm

 

  1. How to apply for American University

Speaker: Richard Du (TOPs grade 12 student, has been accepted by Princeton University)

Date and time: Saturday, June 20. 7:00pm – 9:00pm

 

  1. How to succeed in high school Physics and prepare for physics contests

Speaker: Oliver Wang and Wilson Wu (have been invited to participate in the International Physics Olympiad)

Date and time:  Sunday, June 21. 1:00pm – 2:30pm

 

  1. How to succeed in high school Mathematics and prepare for math contests

Speaker: Lillian Zhang (2nd place award in the American Mathematics Competition)

Date and time: Sunday, June 21. 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Note: The last classes of this semester will be on June 19-21, 2015. The summer semester will start on July 4, 2015.
